This story takes place approximately 19 years before the Battle of Yavin.
Chapter One Edit
I know there are many Star Wars stories with happy endings, you'd be best to stop reading this story. This is a continuing tale of the unfortunate lives of the three Baudelaire orphans since they left the island with a baby girl after the death of Count Olaf. However, I instead intend to give them something for them to see what's coming next.
Violet Baudelaire, the eldest of the children, would have tied up her hair in a ribbon to keep it out of her eyes, and would have invented a device to keep the runabout's systems operating at normal levels for long. Klaus, the middle sibling and the only boy, would have remembered useful facts from the nearby star systems to determine their current location. And Sunny would have bitten metal sheets into parts so Violet can use to create things, and make use of her cooking skills to use a replicator to cook good food.
But the Baudelaires themselves, as they stand in the front of the Federation runabout as it float driftlessly into the vast sea of stars. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire gazed out of the windows of the runabout, marveling at how the heavens had changed since they first entered the Star Trek universe, created chaos and despair in the Baudelaires’ lives that would last on forever, ever since the death of Count Olaf, whose attempts to get his hands on the Baudelaire fortune failed. It appeared as if some of the unseen greatest threats even more lethal and insidious than Olaf himself assaulting the children in ways that even they have yet to perceive. It was not the same universe they're in: they were at what would be the site of a battle part of a conflict that would be later mentioned by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and the future Princess Leia Organa ninety years later. Two missiles flew from the enemy fighters toward the floating runabout, delivering several swarms of spheres that latched on the ship.
"We're hit!" Klaus said. He shocked as he saw one of the spheres opened up to reveal an insect. It then worked its way through the ship's alloys. "What are they?"
"Don't know," Violet replied. The eldest Baudelaire didn't bother to point out that these spheres are actually insects, it was assumed that these spheres were decorative items. Violet had been inventing a way to repel these spheres off from their ship, but there was not enough resources. She would have gone out in a spacesuit when these insect-like things bust in the ship without interference. Now the ship was holed, they were losing precious air to the vacuum of space.
"We're losing air!" Klaus shouted as he glanced at the readings dropping below normal levels. "Systems are failing! We need to abandon ship!"
"Hull integrity has fallen steadily, if we do not get these things off, we'll be dead!"
"I know, but I'm picking up a vessel heading right for us, something big."
The Baudelaires looked in front of the cockpit in horror. A gigantic spaceship shaped like an arrowhead was moving slowly toward them. It fired its batteries at the insects scattered all over the ship. The ship took many hits from the larger ship, and exploded, taking many of the insects with it.
Chapter Two Edit
The children found themselves lying in a main hangar bay of the ship that dwarfed the drifting runabout and destroyed it. The clone commander walked toward them. "Hello, newcomers. How do you have here?"
"I am Violet Baudelaire," Violet said to the commander. "And these are my siblings."
"Then welcome aboard to the Integrity, children," the commander replied. "I am Clone Commander CC-2000. That ship participated in the aid of the captured Supreme Chancellor of the Republic in the battle over Coruscant. With a complement of 420 fighters, the Integrity served as flagship of Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. I'm very glad that you join an elite crew of 7,400, the finest officers and enlisted personnel serving the Republic today. As all of you have heard, our ship is now en route to Tellanroaeg, a planet in the Outer Rim Territories. I don't know more about the details of the situation there, so I'm as much in the dark as you are."
CC-2000 introduced Violet and Klaus to the two ARC-170 starfighters. "For this mission, we'll be flying the ARC-170 starfighter. It is a good heavy starfighter for very dangerous scout missions and raids deep in hostile territory. I think these two need a name. How about it?"
"Bertrand and Beatrice," Violet suggested. "After our parents lost in a fire that destroyed their mansion."
"I think it's acceptable. Very well. Good luck, and may the Force be with you."
"The Force?" Klaus said. "What are you talking about?"
"Just kidding. Now scramble to your fighters!"
Violet and Sunny climbed into the cockpit of the starfighter. Klaus did the same.
